Colleges, friends, family and the public will be able to reference this image. It
is important to wear an outfit that will age well and is context appropriate.
Gents: Button down shirt, oxford, polo or other dress shirt. A tie, jacket, coat
or sweater is optional. Please, NO JEANS.
Girls: Shirt of choice (solid color), no print, graphics or text. Please, NO
JEANS. Tank tops are fine as long as the straps are at least one inch wide.
Skirts or dresses are allowed; the length should be no more than 3 inches
above the knee, or your portrait will be cropped. No strapless dresses or
tops. No midriff tops.
Photo Day
While the photographers are there to suggest potential poses and guide you in taking a good image, if you feel uncomfortable with certain poses, then kindly suggest something different. For example, if you don’t want to put your hand in your pocket or rest your chin on your hand, then politely explain the type of pose you would like. The key here is to be polite and communicate clearly. It might even be helpful to bring images from a magazine or other yearbook poses to show the photographer what you envision. Bring a friend or family member to make sure your hair is arranged nicely, your tie is straight and your look is on point.
Choosing Your Images‐ November 15th Deadline
A few weeks after your photo session, your images will be available for viewing on‐line. Please select your image for print in the yearbook (outdoor photograph). Please do this in a timely manner before NOVEMBER 15th.
You may also choose your favorite blue background image. Although it will not be printed in the yearbook, it may be used for public relations reasons. A few instances may include being featured in the local paper, School Talk or for web publication. Images must be chosen by November 15th.This date is very important as it allows Yearbook staff to maintain our publication deadlines. If you do not choose your portrait by this date one will be chosen for you.
